Our Christmas Flower Club Decorating our altar for Christmas has become over the years, one of our most special parish tradiƟons. Last year, large numbers of people from all over the entire Diocese of Brooklyn made a special trip to come and see how beautifully decorated our altar was for Christmas. No church, and no altar was more beautifully decorated for Christmas than Our Lady of Guadalupe. On Sunday, October 22, 2017 at St. James Cathedral Basilica, students from Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Academy’s Student Council and Safety Patrol represented the school at the Mission Sunday Mass. The students accepted the Mission Recognition Award from Auxiliary Bishop Octavio Cisneros. The students at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Academy have participated in the Mission Program for many years. This program teaches our students that giving to those in need is part of our Catholic Identity.
